Today we farewell Kathy and Richard until we are back in Australia. They are flying to London then hopping in a car and heading south, Noel and I are on the eurostar and staying in London for 2 nights before we start our road trip. We have had a wonderful holiday with Kathy and Richard they have been great traveling buddies, it will be weird not seeing them tomorrow. Thanks for the great adventure guys.
I mostly cat napped the whole way to London, good thing I had already seen plenty of French countryside during the 5500km we clocked up on our French Adventure. We arrived and went past Trafalga Square and Buckingham Palace on the way to the hotel which is in Westminster.
We are on the 3rd floor and there is no lift. We have climbed so many stairs on the trip I reckon we have climbed Mt Everest. It also seems every toilet is either up or down stairs as well. We are both knackered and the train trip didn't help so we went and had some lunch then crashed. I think we have hit the wall a bit and need a recharge.
We drag ourselves up for an Indian dinner as we feel the need for some spicy food and there is heaps of Indian restaurants around the hotel. The hotel is in a really nice street and from the end you can see the London Eye. The Indian was good but not as good as what we can get at home. I dont know what is going on, I must have some dormant pommy accent gene as when I asked for the bill it was with a full pommy accent just like a local, it freaked me and Noel out. I wasn't trying to do it it just came out naturally.
We walked around a bit and stock up at the supermarket even got some deep heat for the sore legs then decided to have an early night for a full day of sight seeing tomorrow.
