We woke up late again today which is pure luxury after the last 3 weeks. Had another home cooked breakfast and then we got the good news, Kathy can be discharged today so Richard is going to go to Lille and get her.
Noel and I headed for the Open Tour Bus to do the yellow line which took us to the Auber, Trinite, Blanche, Montmartre-Anvers, Gare du Nord, Gare du l'Est, Republique, Bonne-Nouvelle, Grand Boulevards, Italians, Capucines-Scribe and Madeleine. We stopped for lunch and headed back to the apartment so Noel could get a jacket at is is a little chillier today and windy on top of the open bus. We stopped along the way to buy a Birthday cake for Kathy tomorrow.
After lunch we decided to take the orange line which is the line that goes past the Burberry Store. After years of Asian rips offs I have decided to buy a real Burberry Handbag in Paris. We saw Petit-Pont, Luxembourg, Port Royal, Place Denfert-Rochereau, Raspail, Montparnasse, Esplanade des Invalides, Rue du Bac, St Germain-des-Pres, Cluny-Quartier Latin and of course the Notre-Dame on this journey. We stopped at St Germain des Pres and headed to the Burberry store. Great service of course and after humming and haring I decided on a handbag and much to Noels disgust bought my prise possession. It was great to walk out the store with your Burberry Bag and walk down the Boulevard St-Germain. We stopped and had a drink, this area is very exclusive and it cost Noel 11euros for a beer, but we did get a great view of the St-Germain Des Pres as we drank our drinks.
We then decided to do the final blue line which took us to Mauber-Mutualite, Pone de Sully-lle and St Louis, Bastille-Opera, Gare de Lyon, Gare d'Austerlitz, Parc de Bercy, Le Marais and the Hotel de Ville. We hopped off at the Notre-Dame and walked back to the apartment along the Seine and stopped and placed a padlock on the Pont de Arts with all 4 of our names on it.
We had a great day and can't wait to have Kathy back tonight.
